There’s so much work left but here’s the start to providing endless possibilities for the most resilient, dedicated, and humble students! 🇬🇳 As someone that truly values people having hope in humanity as well as supporting those that lack access to equitable education, I am feeling all emotions as I share and continue a journey that I started back in 2021. My dream and vision for this project pertain to ensuring that education becomes accessible to children and adolescents that are orphans, come from low income homes, and lack role models. This goal has inspired my thoughts around building a school and eventually clinic in a place that my father built the most authentic relationships. This vision came to me in 2021 and all I wanted to do at the time was to have something concrete that will challenge me to revisit this goal. Although I had very little funds and no time to reach out to friends, family, and other organizations for help, I made the bold decision to buy land and just start building. Looking back now, I could have definitely put more thoughts and planning into things. However, I did what I thought was best at the time to help keep my motivation and vision alive. Right now we have 200 students and it’s expected to grow, attending our Franco-Arab school (how amazing is that?). Hearing this yesterday created a rush of overwhelming feelings and excitement. I just cannot believe so many children and families were looking for this very opportunity that I envisioned. I write with sincere gratitude and hope for this project. Every video and picture that I received throughout the years was a reminder that we all have the ability to help rewrite someone’s story and in the most impactful ways. Though I cannot admit how ready I feel in continuing what I started, I believe with the help of everyone whether that’s through the sharing of information, your explicit input, or donations, my vision will come together. Right now I do not have a plan but I thought sharing my thoughts is a good start. Your support is invaluable to me!
