A Very special moment with a very special person. On my dad‘s 60th birthday, we found out that he was in remission for throat cancer. I grew up listening to Duran Duran with him. A couple of years ago we went and saw them at victorious festival in Portsmouth & one of my favourtire memories ever is him hugging me as we watched and sang together ‘Ordinary World’. On the back screen, they had a silhouette of a church, and during the chorus the Sun would shine through the church windows. I couldnt see him during his treatment as it was during covid, i listened to this song all the time & thought back to that moment. After stopping for a couple of years, one of the things my dad has always asked me to promise him that I will do again, is sing. On his birthday, I visited my old Music teacher who I have been best friends with since I left secondary school. We laughed, drank Prosecco and filmed this video.
