this is my home studio wall. a few months ago I started thinking about doodling. I’ve been drawing since I was in primary school. Then I quit then I started back up. Then I used drawing for making logos and being a designer. Then I quit design. I started drawing again on an iPad. Averaging 1 or 2 color illustrations a year until 2022. Then I had about 8 and thought it would be a good idea to release them as NFTs. No one bought them. One day I’ll share that story. This year. I had that itch again. I’d been making sketches since 2022. Nothing that I was dear to commit to. I found a spare Posca marker at work. Once I put it on paper I began to see the shapes and the lines. Since then I’ve not been able to stop. I have a lot of work I haven’t shown yet but my big experiment, is the wall of my home studio office. I bought a big POSCA 17-K marker and a smaller red one, and just started doodling. something is starting to take shape. I’m not sure what it will be, but I’m ready to find out. 🔴all I know is that there a chaos within every structure. something unpredictable. inspiration, pain, desire, a spark, the flow and we must acknowledge its presence. I’ve learned that the work of making what most people consider the finished artwork is the “art work “.
