I nervously sang my little queer anthem at a local open mic when I had only been out as nonbinary for less than a year. 💜 I NEVER play open mics. I write and polish and produce my songs beautifully at home, release the track, then perform it live with a well-rehearsed band. I was in a place of deep depression after the regime change and seeking community and belonging in my city.
