Waifle was a hardcore band from Woodridge, VA who were active in the late 90s to early oughts. They released a lot of music in their active years, including splits with The Anasazi, Pageninetynine and more. Waifle was strongly politically driven and outspoken about their values and reasons for creating the band. In their 1998 track "Introrigin" they speak about what hardcore means to them versus what it has become (competing for who is the toughest) and about the origins of emo as meaning "emotional".
