He proudly noted that this is the largest course in the school's history. Acting Chief of Police, Mr. Lincoln Corbette encouraged the graduates to maintain their discipline and enthusiasm, always reflecting on the oath they took. He stressed the importance of professionalism, proper care of uniforms, firearms, vehicles, and facilities, and full adherence to standing orders. He also emphasized maintaining physical fitness and commended the training team for their efforts. Minister for National Security, Hon. Rayburn Blackmore called on the new officers to emulate the positive examples set by senior ranks. He reminded them that no one is above the law, and encouraged service with distinction and integrity. He specifically congratulated the female graduates for their equal commitment and dedication, and noted that training is ongoing. He urged citizens to consider applying, as recruitment continues. Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit told the graduates that their journey does not end here. He called on them to uphold the uniform as a symbol of trust, and serve not just as law enforcers, but as servants of the Dominican people. He made a strong appeal to the public to assist in addressing the issue of illegal firearms, urging anyone in possession of one to turn it in at the nearest police station.
