Auggie Smith kept the Quantum Unfolding Chamber in his home, which he used to store his props during his time as the White Dragon. After Christopher Smith returned from prison, Auggie took him to the QUC to collect his various customized helmets. The Second Season of Peacemaker was announced. It will premiere on HBO Max on August 21st. In Season 2, Peacemaker discovers an alternate world where life is everything he wishes it could be. But this discovery also forces him to face his traumatic past and take the future into his own hands. the American superhero television series Peacemaker is based on the eponymous character from DC Comics. While the first season is a spin-off from the DC Extended Universe film The Suicide Squad, the second season is set in the DC Universe which is a "soft reboot" of the DCEU. The season continues the story of jingoistic mercenary Chris Smith / Peacemaker following the events of the DCU film Superman. It is produced by DC Studios with James Gunn as showrunner. John Cena stars as the title character, reprising his role from The Suicide Squad, with Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick also starring. Gunn conceived Peacemaker after noting Cena's strength as a dramatic actor while filming The Suicide Squad and wrote the first season while finishing the film. HBO Max ordered it straight-to-series in September 2020. Filming took place in Vancouver, Canada, from January to July 2021, with Gunn directing five episodes. He chose to use hair metal songs for the series' soundtrack, including "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" by Wig Wam for the opening titles dance sequence.
