Meta's 1st Presence Platform hackathon in Menlo Park, CA was an amazing three-day event! 🚀 . 💥 #hack First things first, breakfast and tech talks from Reality Labs staff got us pumped for the hackathon. Then, we formed teams of 5 with diverse skills. I joined forces with Bob Bjarke's team for our mind-blowing concept: "Wreckommendation Engine"! 🎵 Imagine exploring new music in mixed reality (MR) with a twist. 🎧 Thanks to AR Passthrough, Scene Understanding, and Spatial Anchors, we brought the music recommendation experience to life in surprising ways! 🌈 Using Hand Tracking and the Interaction SDK, we made interacting with virtual 3D objects feel insanely real! 🙌 The Audio SDK took it to the next level with spatial audio that made the sound of record shards exploding on the wall sound mind-blowing! 🎶 Although we didn't snatch the grand prize, our prototype got a shoutout from Meta's CTO Andrew Bosworth and was featured in an UploadVR article! 📣 Plus, we scored some epic networking and learned loads from Meta experts. Oh, and a Quest pro as swag! 🎁 Shoutout to my 'Wreck Team' for their collaboration, creativity, and enthusiasm!
