Have any of you made them? 🥓 Directions: 1 - Cut bacon strips (thin or thick) into 4 sections. 2 - Place strips in a single layer on dehydrator trays. 3 - Set temp for 158 degrees 4 - Set timer for 10.5 hours 5 - Let them completely cool down before removing. 6 - Don’t eat them all in one sitting! 🤣 Personally, I did thick bacon strips and used my silicone mats. I think the little bit of fat that drips off kinda pooled on the bottom of the strip, because of my silicone mat choice (thinking they might stick). I know we all love the fat, but for these, I felt it was like putting too much lotion on your hands… I didn’t care for It. So, I took them off and then put them back on a sheet of paper towel (single layered) and ran the dehydrator again for two hours. They came out perfect! 👌 Additionally, do this either in the garage or outside… or while you are out of the house. The cooking bacon smell is strong, just like making it normally… but for 10.5 long! I did it over night, and all I could do was smell bacon ALL NIGHT LONG! I barely slept! 😷 But folks… it’s SO worth it! I’m gonna do the rest of my 5lb slab! The taste and texture is a bit different than what you’d normally expect.
