Some are really missing the point on the Cracker Barrel issue. It's not that we can't find something better to do with our lives than worry about a stupid corporate logo. I am doing a great many things with my life, and the Cracker Barrel issue is only a very small part of it, but it IS an issue of relevance, and sound-minded Americans know it. Anyone with half a brain can see that there has been a leftist strategy in recent years to throw off the old norms of traditional Americana and individualism and replace them with the boring, bland, politically correct elements and symbols of new age collectivism. This means, among other things, that symbols of distinctive character and historic truth must be replaced with ugly, generic symbols that help to sever us from our good past and help to rob us of any appreciation for individualism, creativity, cleverness, talent, art or beauty. Simply stated, it's the enslavement and robotizing of society. Anyone who has read Orwell's "1984" knows exactly what the score is. It's the devil's work, plain and simple (John 10:10). The issue has nothing to do with your like or dislike for Cracker Barrel food. It's the principle of the matter. This is about the evil spirit of this age and how the American soul is being destroyed by it. As for Bible believers, should we care? Yes, we should, because this is the kind of thing that the wise king Solomon was talking about when he said, "Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set," (Pro. 22:28) and it's the kind of thing that Daniel told us the Antichrist will be involved with when he appears and will "think to change times and laws" (Dan. 7:25). Proverbs 24:21 says to "meddle not with them that are given to change." There's nothing wrong with companies making changes, but there's plenty wrong with the TRUE REASONS for many such changes. Little by little, our country is being neutered and conditioned to bow to Satan like soulless, robotic slaves (Rev. 13), and some of us care enough to say something about it.
