A new video featuring Canadian cellist Cameron Crozman as he performs Daniel Alvarado Bonilla’s 2017 piece, “Senderos.” From Crozman’s unique recording project, Ricercari, which pairs the oldest pieces ever composed for solo cello with seven contemporary compositions. The musical material for Senderos is from the solo part of Bonilla’s concerto for cello and large ensemble, Los senderos se bifurcan. “The work was written for Cameron Crozman and premiered in 2016,” says Bonilla. “For this composition, I set out to explore the cello’s great expressiveness and rich sound palette.
