I was desperately searching for somewhere to escape the heat while visiting Madrid in August. All of the hotel pools that ChatGPT said would be open to non-guests of the hotel had changed their policies. Only a couple still allowed visitors who hadn’t booked a stay, and it was at least €80 for the day (that’s a no for me dawg). Thankfully there is a municipal pool only a 10 minute drive from the city center. It’s also metro accessible, and it only cost €5 for the whole day! This was a huge score. The best part was the hour between morning and evening session (3-4pm). Those who didn’t pay for the full day had to leave, and it was so peaceful - for one hour lol. Either way, this was exactly what I needed and provided and cool and relaxing way to beat the heat and still experience a new part of the city.
