Have a great week everyone 🌞 ——- This painting was one of the biggest heartbreaks but also one of the biggest learnings. It looked absolutely gorgeous when I finished it, but I unfortunately used the wrong medium. In this one I used gel and it tends to dry with a little bit of transparency to it, that means whenever the lighter colors didn’t match 100% of the background, you could see through the other color. If done intentionally I guess it can look interesting, but that was not my case 💔 Additionally, for an unknown reason, the painting shrunk A LOT. Some shrinkage is normal, but this one was off the books. I was so sad and frustrated, I couldn’t look at it.
