ALL proceeds from FTSYS go to Oasis for Youth — a minnesota nonprofit providing access and resources to youth experiencing homelessness and at risk of homelessness. you can find FTSYS on bandcamp, and the CD was released last night. i have been a avid #deftones fan since 2017, the first time i heard white pony and immediately went deep on their entire catalogue. i haven’t stopped since. deftones’ riffs and precision and creativity and versatility and weird darkness always pulls me back. from adrenaline to private music, i truly feel every step of the deftones journey has resulted in powerful, hard-hitting records. i feel fortunate that i’ve been able to give “digital bath” to the FTSYS compilation; the guitar part is one of my all-time favorite tones and riffs combined (within the deftones catalogue and beyond it), and chino’s lyrics and melodies are as haunting as ever. “digital bath” is abstract and unsettling, replete with open space, and few sections repeat, which made learning and rearranging the song a particularly invigorating and meaningful challenge. i hope you enjoy this clip and hopefully FTSYS too 🖤 #deftonesenjoyer #deftonesfan #numetal #pianocover
