WHIP, WHIP, WHIP, IMMA WHIP THE DEVIL’S ASS!
YOUTH GROUP GAME: "Donut String Challenge" This game takes a little set up but makes for some great pictures! The participants will look ridiculous and the crowd will love it! Game Type: Up-Front Icebreaker Number Of Players: 3-4 players Items Needed: 3-4 chairs; 2 poles or stands; string/yarn/rope; donuts Estimated Cost: cost of donuts + string + stand (you don’t have them) Time needed: 10-15 minutes 1. Set up two poles (the framing for a photo backdrop works perfectly if you have one) and tie a string or rope across the top of one pole to another. Poles need to be about 7-9 ft. tall. Have a person holding each pole (not playing in the game). 2. Choose 3-4 participants to play and have a chair for each participant. 3. Have equal length strings cut for each person. 4. Tie a donut to one end of the string and tie the other end around the ankle of the participants. 5. Once the string is tied to the ankle, throw the donut over the string you ran across the poles. 6. By using only their leg to move the donut up and down on the string, they must try to eat the donut from the string. 7. They cannot use their hands and they must remain seated. Failure to obey results in a disqualification. ENDING: Game can end after the donut is completely eaten, the donut is bitten(if students are having difficulty biting), or by judging after a timer ends on who eats the most donut (suggested 2-5 minute timer). PRO TIP #1: This game makes for great photos and/or video so make sure you have your photography/videographer ready. PRO TIP #2: Have everything set up beforehand to save time (ex. Strings measured and cut, poles up with rope, donuts pre-tied to string) PRO TIP #3: Yarn also works great for tying the donuts. PRO TIP #4: When cutting the string, have yourself or someone test the length by setting up themselves just like the players would be and give an extra 6-12 inches in length to be sure it will work for smaller students. #youthgroup #youthgroupgames #youthgroupcheck #youthpastor #studentministry #fungames #fungame #kidsministry #childrensministry #peprallygame #youthpastorprobs
Make your next youth night a big night with tacos! Theme around Mexican food or other Hispanic food. Call it a fiesta. Call it taco Wednesday or whatever you want! Do the karate piñata game? I just posted on my profile for a lot of fun. Play Spanish speaking, Christian, rap, artist, or worship music. Decorate and theme it out and promote it with whatever name you want, but make sure you throw the word tacos in there if you really wanna have a full house of students. #YouthMinistryIdeas #FunChurchGames #YouthGroupGames #YouthPastor

In ministry, it’s easy to get frustrated when your “normal” people don’t show up to service. Like when you have a smaller group of students and 5 attendees don’t show up… it can make you feel like a failure. BUT constant and consistent outreach will eliminate that frustration as you are ALWAYS ministering to new people, even when your “regulars” are missing. #YouthMinistryIdeas #YouthPastor #StudentMinistry #StudentPastor #youthpastor
Looking for a way to boost attendance at your next youth event? Here’s an easy strategy that helps you promote for the weeks coming up to the event. Sometimes we forget that promotion is almost more important than the event itself. Don’t throw all your money and effort at the event itself. Use the weeks leading up to it to incentivize students to attend. #YouthPastor #StudentMinistry #YouthMinistry #StudentPastor #Ministry
Try to schedule out some themed nights and events each Wednesday for major youth group growth!
