The 116d is one of my favourite diesel engines to tune! And it’s not because it achieves some sort of crazy big power number at the end. It’s simply the difference of how it enters our garage and how it leaves our garage 🔥 These early 2 litre diesel BMW 116d’s leave BMW’s factory with such tiny horsepower, and considering it’s fitted with a modern 2 litre diesel engine, it’s criminal how it only achieves 116 bhp. With it sharing the same engine as the 120d, bar a few minor differences. On our stage 1 tune we see these achieve 190bhp and 400 nm of torque, all completely safe ✅ So if you own one of these and get used to the 116 bhp, and then drive it after it’s tuned, it’s hard to believe it’s the same engine and this is what it was capable of all along! Very very drastic and impressive results! These start to drive how they should! So if you’ve got a 116d, you’re in desperate need of a tune I can guarantee that! You’ll be so glad you’ve done it! #tunex
Guys did I make my car too loud?? Or is it just right? I can’t decide. I love the raw sound of the full straight through and downpipe 😍 but sometimes it’s abit too much, and ofc quite droney. But with the valves closed it’s a sensible tone, but would be nice to kill abit more drone overall. Let me know if hat you think #n55 #35i
We have just created another beautiful Custom made Valved Exhaust system for this lovely Jaguar XE 2.0T. The customer wanted to be able to choose between the car being loud and quiet at a push of a button, so that’s what we created. This Jaguar was a bit tricky to work on, as you can see just as the exhaust split into two, there are a few very tight clearances to get through to avoid the exhaust making physical contact. But with our years of experience in exhaust building, that’s something that we can get round with precision building! ZF gearbox servicing available at TuneX! Here’s an E-Series BMW fitted with the 6 speed ZF gearbox, we’re doing an extended service which consists of flushing the gearbox twice to get as much old oil out as possible as this car has reached 100k miles. We’re also removing, cleaning and replacing the seals on the valve body whilst we’re there. Since these gearboxes don’t get opened often for servicing, it’s good to do a proper service and flush to ensure another 100k of faultless miles. R34 GT-R Nismo V-Spec in da houseeeeee 🔥 We recently had this insanely gorgeous Skyline at our unit for a quick exhaust alteration. The customer wanted the Jap can to be more angled to the side, as it was facing head on. Jap cans are traditionally abit angled. So @andynixon.98 got on the angle grinder and welder to sort this quick fix out! What a gorgeous gorgeous car and happy to see such an icon at our garage! ❤️ Had to make a cool reel out of it didn’t I to celebrate, even if it was for small job. Taking an M4 comp to the 500 club today! What a beast of an engine! With our stage 1 tune, we was able to take this way past the 500 club, as you’ll see, we took it to 524 bhp, and torque gets even crazier! From 574 to 745 Nm of torque 🤯🤯 Thats almost an extra 200nm, and I can you tell you that, this is an absolute monster to drive now! 750nm to the rear wheels is an absolute blast I can tell you that! These numbers are all great and all, but can this engine deliver it safely! I can confirm yes, with chest! As we datalogged the vehicle before and after, to make sure it was healthy before hand, and that it was running correctly on our tune aswell. Datalogging helps view exactly how the car is performing on full power, and on our logs, boost was spot on, air to fuel ratio was rich, helping keep the engine temps down, fuel pressure was solid and intake temps weren’t even a worry thanks to the impressive stock intercooler which meant no timing was being pulled back. Healthy engine and a healthy tune is what we like!
