There has been a statewide police manhunt to track down a former AFL player turned fugitive. Three-club star Aaron James is back in custody after there were eight warrants out for his arrest. As the manhunt was on, #police released a #mugshot of James and asked for the public’s help to track him down. James, now 48, played for Collingwood, Richmond and the Western Bulldogs. He made his debut for Collingwood when he was just 17, and retired at the end of 2002 after just game for the bulldogs in that season. Since his time in the AFL, there has been a spectacular fall from grace. He’s just been arrested over accusations of theft, #possessing ice and failing to answer bail. It is not his first run in with the #law either. James has been hit with more than a 100 charges over the last few years. Those charges include #burglary #dangerousdriving and threatening to kill his wife. James was no stranger to trouble during his playing days either. In 1996 (while out of Collingwood’s team with a knee injury) he was involved in a fight at nightclub with security and charged with #affray At the end of the #1997 season, he again made headlines for urinating on two women at the #saloonbar in South Yarra.
