Cheese was VERY concerned about those goats! Cheese spotted goats across the field… and immediately went into full alpaca alert mode. This high-pitched braying sound is how alpacas warn each other about potential danger, even if it’s just a bunch of suspicious-looking goaties. Alpacas make a unique high-pitched, rhythmic bray called an alarm call when they sense something unusual, threatening, or out of place. It’s their way of alerting the rest of the herd to pay attention or be on guard. Even if the threat turns out to be harmless (like a goat in the distance), alpacas would rather be safe than sorry. Replying to @bigger_than_the_alanatic_ocean these are my goats: Pepsi, Beans, and Pickles. They are Pygora goats, which means they are fiber goats. They grow cashmere, which is why they’re fluffy and often mistaken as sheep. They’re not often included in the offerings videos because they completely take over by jumping on me, the alpacas, and it just becomes complete chaos. Did you know alpacas make these kinds of noises? When I got my first alpacas, Macaroni and Cheese, they didn’t talk much. Like, at all.
