I personally don’t have a favorite. Logic’s sounds less symphonic and better if you’re wanting a single intimate trombone. @Orchestral Tools sounds more symphonic and better if you’re wanting powerful or more spacious brass. They also have a free jazz brass library that I’ve used a lot! So if you’re wanting an in between Logic and Berlin Free Orchestra, I’d recommend that. It’s not a perfect in between, but it’s another free option. Now obviously if you go buy Orchestral Tools Berlin Brass, you can be way more diverse with the sound you’re looking for. They allow you to blend microphones and more articulation styles. But it’s quite the pretty penny to be able to do that. I think it’s worth it but understand that not everyone is working with $800 USD that it costs. (I used my tax return a couple years ago and only have the Berlin Strings). However, you can buy individual instruments for way less in case you want the pro sound while you’re on a budget.
