Not the best video but all I have of one of Nancys first gestalts! As a gestalt language processor she learns chunks of language at a time before breaking them down. Lots of her gestalts weren’t clear at this stage but this one was. It was later that I clicked on as to where she had picked it up. She wouldn’t say bye until we were leaving people and she would repeat bye about 6/7 times in different tones in the same way Sid does on ice age! Her gestalts are now much longer but she struggles with her motor skills and pronouncing each individual words so lots of it sounds like babble still. #autism #autismawareness #speechdelay #gestalt #glp

Nancy used to be awake for long stretches overnight, she has much lower sleep needs and still doesn’t need much sleep now. Thankfully she sleeps much better now and she rarely wakes during the night. Nancy is constantly running off when we’re out, thankfully this is generally in familiar places and it’s quite predictable where it is she’s going to.
