this is the first and only time that I’m going to be posting about this. For full disclosure, I am only posting this for awareness. I would’ve never thought that three months ago today I would get a message from my brother reminding me about the events that happened on May 21, 2025, and for 10 days after. I just want to make aware of the severity of meeting friends online. I was so excited to go we had created a bond, and if it was almost like an instant click. After about two months of talking online, I decided to go to Edmonton with a one-way ticket there, originally stay for three nights and come back the fourth day. I was not at all, expecting to not be able to leave or do anything. It’s still a very traumatic experience for me as with my trauma I tend to hide it down and I will not remember very tough parts about things so I am still now getting details back in my head of what happened. I do not wish what I went through on anyone not even my worst enemy. I was genuinely scared for my life and that is why I made a video saved it to my phone in case anything happen; sent it to my brothers just in case. People don’t tend to make videos like that unless they know that something bad is going to happen. I was genuinely concerned that I was not going to be able to get home or find somebody to understand that I was there and not wanting to be there anymore. She would make remarks and they were all very violent and she laughed it off, I would laugh it off in a very awkward way because I wasn’t sure how to understand it or take it at the time, also was just getting to know her. The comments started getting very eerie and almost scary and I would often wake up in the middle of the night, vomiting and feeling very icky about things. Unfortunately, the symptoms in my body got worse, and I started noticing that it was not going to be good around the fifth day, and that’s where she threatened to feed me to her dog and made multiple remarks on the fact that I was never going to go home. We did later on in the night. I think it was around 10:30 PM, get into a physical altercation because I was trying to give her dog a toy, and she didn’t like that and then went and hit him with a wooden spoon on his butt, and I tried to stop that which; many might say that was not a good idea, but she would beat her dog every single day that I was there from the first day I met her and even before that on FaceTime for the couple months we were talking. she would sit there and laugh and make scarier remarks about things and I honestly was petrified. just be careful on who you go and see online and make sure that you have somebody go with you for the first time meeting them or even the first couple of times because I honestly don’t remember fully in detail what happened because my brain has blocked it out, but there was cops and it happened like at least three times in the 10 days I was there.
