I picked up this stunning highlighter - in lighter shade Romance Light - back when it first launched in May 2022. It was one of my fave releases of 2022, and it's still a product I reach for pretty regularly even now. I was lucky enough to receive both shades (Romance Light and Dream Light) in PR in their newly revamped packaging. I liked the original packaging but the glitter… just 😍😍😍 Swatches of both shades are included (I swatched my existing Romance Light so I can keep this new one to the side, perhaps for a future giveaway!). Just a note that the glitters on the product in pan is an overspray. The actual formula of the product underneath is very smooth and almost melts into the skin. As the pan is split, if you are careful (and use a small brush!) you can pick and choose which shades you want to use. I tend to just swirl them all together though 😁 These highlighters are available now on the CT website via early access - you have to sign in to your account to be able to find them. I believe the official relaunch, alongside the launch of some new lip products, is early April. @Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting Edit - Jellyfish 🪼 Its September, and my first holiday 2023 purchase is one of the new face palettes from Hourglass! As soon as I saw the sneak peek of this year’s launch, it was the jellyfish packaging that most caught my attention. If the powders inside didn’t appeal I would have definitely gone for the customisable cover option! This selection of shades is very different to those found in my pick last year, Tiger, and will be better suited to my skin tone, so I am happy to add this to my collection. These tones look beautiful, and swatches are of course included. I particularly like the look of the new blush and highlighter on the top row. The bronzer is also a new shade, with the finishing powders and blush on the second row being existing shades in the Hourglass line. To the touch, the powders feel extremely smooth and finely milled. Hopefully they perform as well as Tiger! @Summer Fridays Mini Neutrals Lip Butter Balm Set 🤎 I’ve wanted to try the beloved Summer Fridays butter balms for ages, so this lovely little set called to me! It includes flavours Vanilla, Vanilla Beige, Iced Coffee and Brown Sugar. They all smell utterly delightful. I’ve tried just Vanilla so far, it feels so super nourishing on the lips and gives a gorgeous glossy finish. I can see why they are so hyped! @BEAUTY BAY Mini Charms Palette ✨ I used to be a Beauty Bay eyeshadow palette stan but tbh their more recent colour stories haven’t really appealed to me - however this stunning all shimmer mini had me intrigued! This is a new formula from the brand. They are actually very thin and smooth, even though they are super shimmery they don’t feel textured at all. Some of them have more base pigment than others but they seem pretty consistent. There’s also some very fun shifts. My preferred way of wearing these is just using one shade all over the lid either by itself or paired with a matte or two in the crease. I’m really impressed with longevity of wear, and think these last better on my fairly oily lids than the standard BB shimmers. It’s also an absolute bargain at £10 - an excellent price point. @Saie Mini Dew Blush Trio 🤩 This new gift set from Saie called my name the moment I laid eyes on it! It contains two of their existing Dew Blush shades (Rosy and Chilly) plus a new limited edition cool-toned pink, Baby. I already have a full size of shade Spicy, and it’s a formula I really enjoy. They blend like a dream, and give the perfect amount of pigmentation and glow. AD/AFF @Charlotte Tilbury Hypnotising Pop Shots ✨ A surprise return of the somewhat controversial Pop Shot single shadows! These first launched for holiday 2022. All of the OG shades are back along with the 2023 additions Pillow Talk Diamonds and Pillow Talk Ultraviolet. I already had these two plus OG shade Cosmic Rocks, but regretted not getting Diamond Eyes and Smokey Quartz before they sold out - so those two have now joined the party! Please swipe for swatches 🥰 I know these are crazy expensive for a single shadow but I am a sucker for them. They are really lovely quality. They all have stunning dimension, with lots of very fine shimmers. Cosmic Rocks and PT Ultraviolet have fun subtle duochrome shifts. Quite a thin formula and they look so beautiful on the lids. #ad AD/AFF @Charlotte Tilbury Palette of Beautifying Eye Trends ✨ CT bringing out a whole collection of 9 pan eyeshadow palettes finally persuaded me to make my first makeup purchase in 3 whole months 😂 I had to go for Super Neutral and Emerald Eyes. Very tempted to pick up the blue one too but I’ll see how these perform first 👀 I’ll get back to you soon on what I think of the formulas and hopefully bring some comparisons (I’m getting definite Lisa E Vega and Sorcery vibes from these two!) but fwiw they swatched absolutely beautifully. The mattes are very smooth and creamy to the touch. There seems to be a few different shimmer formulas in each - some more sparkly topper, others a bit thicker and more metallic and a few satins too. The plastic packaging doesn’t give us the usual luxe CT vibes but I’m glad it’s reflected somewhat in the price (at least compared to the 2 holiday 9 pans which retailed for £9-11 more for the same amount of product). I understand these are artistry inspired so being able to see the shades is great. I do actually like the format and idea, I just wish the plastic felt a little more substantial. Pros and cons here for sure but what matters most to me is performance, so I’m really looking forward to giving these a try! I’ll report back soon.
