Started my herbal apprenticeship, and I couldn't be happier with the person I'm actually learning from. I'm so excited to be refining my path and deeply investing in this knowledge and my spiritual growth and herbal connection. I'm investing in my growth and my spirituality and well-being. I'm kind of amazed by how quickly my path has been aligned for me since we moved out to the property. It hasn't been easy, and a lot of the lessons have been forceful ones, but I asked for the universe to point me in the direction that I'm meant to go, and I am *aligning*. ...in other news, this is me actually *smiling* on October 8th, and that never happens. There is a lot of people reporting to be healers of various types who do not have legitimate lineage in a tradition with long term human use or being informed by modern research. 👀We see this all the time on social media. So when you are listening to someone talk about herbs or essential oils or some type of healing practice, it’s good to use discernment and to find out if that person actually has training, especially from a tradition that has long-term human use. When we are moving into the world of healing, we want to be aware of the tendency to culturally appropriate. And this is another aspect of legitimate lineage. 👉But what is also important is tapping into your own ancestry and ethnicity as you are beginning to embody what it means to be an herbalist or healer. Very often, this gives us greater self permission to step into who we know we are.
