What happens when you fly to the Bahamas to shoot a global TV, social & OOH campaign with 27+ crew & cast & get hit by a hurricane? Ok, it may not have been a full on hurricane but have you seen rain like this!? The first day of rain felt slightly stressful. But, it would only be one day of rain right? Right!? RIGHT!? Wrong. Day two: torrential rain This is when the pressure started building even more. But, the team held out. When the sun peaked through they got as much done as possible. And eventually… EV-EN-TU-AL-LY That glorious Bahamas weather pulled through. We’d planned multiple contingency days so pushing the shoot back worked just fine. And the content the team shot in the sunny breaks got us ahead of schedule. The client was super happy & the plan worked! It feels mental seeing the campaign on TV, social & billboards etc in London, Germany, Italy & France! We’ve got a WhatsApp & everyone shares photos of cool places they’re seeing the campaign which is nice! When’s the last time you felt this kind of pressure/stress because you really cared about doing a good job on something?

This weekend I took part in my first-ever Tough Mudder. There was one surprising thing that got me hooked: The team spirit. I expected it with the three of us from Knowlton. But I didn’t expect it to happen with strangers. I was used as a human ladder. I was lifted over huge mounds of mud. I was high-fived until my hands hurt. And loved it! The feeling of helping others (and being helped) left me with a huge buzz at the finish line! One of the most challenging obstacles was 'Everest'. A huge wall you run up (kind of like a skate ramp but mahoosive). The obstacle is sponsored by Emerge (one of our clients). After working with Emerge for the last couple of years, it was amazing to personally take part in their Tough Mudder activation. Unfortunately, I'm now hooked.
