Our new album, Broadway: A Jewish Journey, is coming September 2025 - and I’m so excited to share it with you! As a sneak peek, here’s You’ll Never Walk Alone from Carousel (1945). Its message - “walk on, with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone” - still speaks powerfully today. Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom - and hope in your heart. As we step into Elul, here's a brand-new song, inspired by the call of the shofar - a sound that awakens the heart to renewal, reflection, and hope. May this new year bring peace, safety, and blessing to us all. I wish you a Shabbat Shalom & Chodesh Tov! #SoundTheShofar #Tiku #Elul #Shofar #JewishMusic
Something powerful happened when we filmed this in Jerusalem. As I began to sing, people around me joined in - strangers became a chorus. We sang “Chai” - a song that echoes with hope, resilience, and love of life. In times of uncertainty, it reminds us: we are still here, still singing, still alive. Today, I’m reflecting on the deep connection between freedom and faith, between celebration and survival - in Israel, in America, and around the world. Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom and a joyful 4th of July! As It Was (Harry Styles) - A Grammy-Winner in a Synagogue When we created this special version of a hit song, we didn’t realize it would be performed at the Grammy awards the next day, let alone for Album of the Year! Observing Tu BiShvat, a holiday in honor of the trees, we decided the Eitz Chayim ”Tree of Life” text would go best with this energetic tune. Mazal tov to our b’nei mitzvah at being called up to the “Tree of Life”, and to Harry Styles for winning multiple Grammys this year. Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom and hope this video brings a smile to your face! As we approach the first Yahrzeit of Burt Bacharach (1928 – 2023), I want to share with you my favorite song of his, which is as timely as ever: “Not just for some, but for everyone”. May the memory of Burt Freeman Bacharach be for a blessing and may his prayerful songs inspire us all in 2024. Wishing you a love-filled Shabbat Recorded live on the High Holidays at Park Avenue Synagogue, 2023 Music by Burt Bacharach, Lyrics by Hal David, Arranged by Jason Weisinger Music Director: David Enlow AV: Oscar Acevedo, Terrell Simms, Erik Van Batavia, Oli Jung Video Editor: Tami Shaham #jewish #Love #prayer #music #song #newyork #newyear

“Have you ever felt like nobody was there?” This powerful lyric from Dear Evan Hansen echoes a deep longing for connection - one that feels especially urgent today. In our recent Jewish Broadway concert, we performed this anthem with one prayer in our hearts: that every hostage still held will be returned home, and that their families will no longer feel alone in their anguish. May this song be a voice of hope in a time of darkness. Shabbat Shalom. Bring Them Home. Performers (in order of appearance): Zachary Piser, Lindsay Lavin, Cantors Mira Davis and Azi Schwartz, Arielle Jacobs, Jenny Baker, Bob McDonald, Joanie Leeds, Seth Rudetzky, Rebecca Kasper, Cantor Arielle Reisner Music and Lyrics by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul Arrangement by Jason Weisinger commissioned by PAS Music Center Music Director: David Enlow Video Editor: Terrell Simms Audio: Oscar Acevedo #YouWillBeFound #BringThemHome #JewishBroadway #VoicesOfHope #DearEvanHansen @Zachary Noah Piser @Arielle Jacobs @BringThemHomeNow
As we prepare for Shabbat and approach Tisha B’Av, I’m honored to share this musical tribute to my mentor and teacher, Cantor Naftali Herstik z”l, whose first yahrzeit we mark this month. Cantor Herstik was more than a towering figure in the world of Jewish liturgical music - he was my teacher, my guide, and like a father to me. His voice filled the Jerusalem Great Synagogue with sacred beauty for over three decades, and his gentle soul brought peace and depth to every prayer he sang. In this video, I sing Avot—the opening blessing of the Amidah—in the style and spirit of the man who shaped how I understand chazzanut and Jewish prayer. It’s a blessing about legacy and memory, a perfect way to honor someone whose legacy lives through the voices and hearts of his students. May his memory always be a blessing. Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom and a meaningful Tisha B’Av. When Irving Berlin wrote, “There’s no business like show business,” he wasn’t just talking about glitz and glamour. He knew the stage could be a place of transformation. Born Israel Beilin, the son of a cantor, his first steps toward a musical career weren’t met with applause at home. Like many immigrant parents, his mother dreamed of a stable, respectable profession for her son - not smoky nightclubs and song-filled stages. But Berlin found in music a way to survive, to dream, and to shape his own future. Though he couldn’t read music, he composed the soundtrack of America - songs of resilience, reinvention, and the boundless belief that through music, we can rewrite our stories and move forward, no matter the past. This song opened our recent concert, Broadway: A Jewish Journey, and will appear on our upcoming album in September - celebrating the Jewish composers who brought the melodies of the synagogue to the bright lights of Times Square. I can’t wait to share it with you!
