Zipporah quickly took action and circumcised her son with a flint knife, touching Moses' feet with it and saying "Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me." By performing this act of obedience and faithfulness to God's covenant through circumcision, Zipporah saved her husband's life from divine judgment. After this incident, there are no further mentions of Zipporah in the Bible. It is believed that she remained supportive of Moses throughout his leadership role in guiding the Israelites out of slavery and towards the Promised Land.
