How to make delicious collard greens! I take pride in making great collard greens. Quite literally everyone I have made this recipe for has been shocked by how much they like it! Coming from the south you can find good collard greens everywhere. But when I moved to California many years ago I couldn’t find as easily so here is my take on them :) Ingredients: 1. 2 bu collard greens, stems removed and thinly sliced. 2. 34 strips bacon, diced 3. ½ onion, chopped 4. 4 garlic, minced 5. 3 cups chickne stock 6. ½ cup ACV 7. 1 tbsp sugar 8. 1 ham hock, optional for great flavor 9. Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: 1. Heat oven to 350°F. 2. In a large saute pan, render bacon and add onions and garlic. Sweat until aromatic and as salt as you go. 3. Add the collards, chicken stock, apple cider vinegar, sugar, ham hock and salt to taste. Cover with a lid and transfer to the oven for 45 minutes. 4. Remove from the oven and mix around with a spoon. Place back in the oven for another 45 minutes. 5. Remove the greens from the oven once tender.
