Tones from the mystic midsummer nights. Only this time of the year has this specific feeling and energy in the air. It’s something mystic about it. And I love mystic. Kulning is also mystic to me. The ancient Nordic herdingcall. Because the tones are not ”settled”. And ever since I was really young I’ve felt drawn to tones and music that awakes a certain feeling inside of me. In Swedish I call them ”flyende toner”. Which can kind of be translated to ”fleeing tones”. Its just something I came up with. When I hear music/tones/songs that containes the ”fleeing tones” I see them in my mind as if the tones flyes away in the air instead of being ”stuck” to a notation sheet/music sheet. And the tones has a question mark behind them, as if they more exists as a wondering. A calling, a waiting, for maybe something to answer back and complete the piece. But when no one answers back, the tones will keep flying away in eternity. And that is where that mystic, magic feeling is born. That is when the goosebumps arrive. Haha I understand if this sounds completely nuts. It so hard to describe in words.
